1st & 10th Hole
Par 3
219 /249 Yards
207 /234 Yards
196 /196 Yards
To a new visitor at Flint GC, the first is a very intimidating hole. The green is cut into a hillside so, if your tee-shot does not carry all of the 219yrds, It will roll down the hill into the rough, leaving you with a tricky chip back to the green. From the 10th it shows even less mercy as it is 249yrds!.
2nd & 11th Hole
Par 4
403 / 419 Yards
373 / 391 Yards
330 / 330 Yards
This relatively straight par 4 is a lovely driving hole. It's fairway slopes from right to left therefore your ideal tee shot is right of centre, but there is a lone tree in the middle of the fairway waiting to catch an inaccurate drive. The second shot is to a green that drops off to the back and left.
3rd & 12th Hole
Par 5
485 / 504 Yards
475 / 484 Yards
440 / 440 Yards
This is a short par 5 of only 485yrds, But the fact that it climbs approximately 70 feet from tee to green makes it play longer. the tee shot is down a corridor of trees. The second shot requires a straight shot as there is a copse of trees and rough to the left and a large oak to the right. The third shot is to a two tier green which requires an accurate shot especially if the flag is on the back tier.
4th & 13th Hole
Par 4
273 / 273 Yards
263 / 263 Yards
244 / 244 Yards
This is a right angle dog-leg left. It requires an accurate tee shot to the dog-leg, or if your feeling brave, you can drive the corner to the green. The second shot is to a green protected by two ponds and a bunker.
5th & 14th Hole
Par 3
182 / 179 Yards
172 / 170 Yards
180 / 145 Yards
This is a par 3 which is protected by three bunkers. The tee shot is all about club selection as winds are quite often not realized until you reach the green. the members tip is to look at the flag on the 3rd to see which way the wind is blowing.
6th & 15th Hole
Par 4
450 / 446 Yards
435 / 436 Yards
365 / 450 Yards
This is one of the testing holes here at Flint GC. It measures 450 yrds and is a slight dog-leg right. It requires a very accurate tee shot as there is OOB to the right and a line of trees to the left. The second shot is to a green which is set at the bottom of a slope which is blind from back up the fairway.
7th & 16th Hole
Par 4
268 / 285 Yards
260 / 265 Yards
250 / 250 Yards
Once again you are driving down a corridor of trees. The fairway slopes from left to right with rough on the right ready to catch any inaccurate tee shots. The green is cut into a hillside, so if you miss it the the right, it will run down the hill into the rough leaving you with a testing chip shot back. This green is one of the hardest greens to read.
8th & 17th Hole
Par 4
423 / 416 Yards
418 / 414 Yards
410 / 310 Yards
This hole is without doubt 'one of the hardest par 4's in the county'. My description is based on playing this in regulation (which many players do not do). With OOB to the left and right of this entire hole, your tee shot is to a gap in the fairway which at one point measures approx 30yrds across. The second shot is long and narrowing to the green which has OOB on three sides. If you par this it will feel like a birdie!
9th & 18th Hole
Par 4
253 / 253 Yards
253 / 253 Yards
232 / 232 Yards
A par 4 of 253yrds which is drivable for the longer hitter, but there is a bunker awaiting any stray shots. This is a large green with plenty of subtle breaks.
